Processing & Shipping Times
We take great care in preparing your orders, and most are processed within 7 business days. During peak seasons or holidays, processing may take a little longer. To ensure your plants arrive in the best condition, we typically ship Monday through Wednesday. Orders placed after 5 PM on Monday will ship the following Monday to avoid weekend delays.
Order Confirmation & Tracking
Once you place your order, you’ll receive a confirmation email. If you don’t see it, check your spam folder or reach out—we’re happy to help!
After your order ships, we’ll send you a tracking email with a link to monitor its journey. Keep in mind that delivery estimates are based on the carrier’s pickup date, not the date of purchase, and delays can occasionally occur.
Shipping Options
We ship live plants and body butter via UPS, FedEx, or USPS, depending on your location. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on size, weight, and destination.

Standard/Ground Shipping (3-7 business days) – Best for hardier plants and mild climates.

Expedited Shipping (1-3 business days) – Recommended for delicate or high-value plants, especially in extreme weather.
Protecting Your Order
Shipping Insurance & Weather Precautions
UPS and USPS include insurance up to $100, but please note that live plants are often excluded from full coverage. If your package is damaged in transit, we’ll help you file a claim and find a solution. To support the claim process, take clear photos of the damaged packaging and items within 24 hours of delivery and send them to us.
For best results, we strongly recommend selecting the appropriate shipping materials for extreme weather conditions. Heat packs, cold packs, and insulation are available for purchase—these help protect your plants during transit. If you opt for standard ground shipping during extreme weather, we can’t guarantee plant condition upon arrival, but we’ll package your order as securely as possible.
Packaging & Care
Your plants are carefully wrapped using high-quality materials to keep them safe on their journey. For larger plants (8”+ pots), we may ship without the pot to reduce stress on the plant and ensure safer transit.
We monitor weather conditions at both our facility and your destination. If we anticipate extreme temperatures that could affect your plants, we may delay shipping for their protection. If you’d like to request a delay due to expected severe weather on your end, just let us know!
Where We Ship
Currently, we ship within the U.S., excluding Alaska and Hawaii. Unfortunately, we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes due to transit delays and shipping restrictions.
At this time, we do not offer international shipping—but we hope to in the future!
Receiving Your Plants & Body Butter
To ensure your plants adjust well to their new home, unpack them promptly and allow them time to acclimate before repotting.
Your body butter is ready to use right away and comes with a six-month shelf life (expiration date labeled). For extended freshness, store it in the refrigerator if you don’t plan to use it immediately.
Shipping Issues & Plant Damage
Lost or Delayed Packages
If your order is lost or delayed, we’ll work with the carrier to help locate it.
Damaged Plants
Minor wear—like a bent leaf or a small tear—can sometimes happen during shipping. However, if your plant arrives with significant damage, please email us at velvetjungleplants.com within 24 hours with clear photos of the damage, packaging, and packing slip. We’ll work with you to find the best resolution.
